The analog front end for FastRICH: an ASIC for the LHCb RICH detector upgrade

This work presents the analog circuitry of the FastRICH ASIC, a 16-channel ASIC, developedin a 65 nm CMOS technology specifically designed for the RICH detector at LHCb to readoutdetectors like Photomultiplier Tubes to be used at the LHC Run 4 and Silicon Photomultiplierscandidates for Run 5. Development and characterization of large area LGADs for space applications

Low Gain Avalanche Diodes (LGADs) are silicon detectors that use the impact ionization process to achieve gain values of about O(10) and timing resolution of O(30 ps) to detect Minimum Ionizing Particles. The main source of systematic uncertainty on neutrino cross section measurements at the GeV scale is represented by the poor knowledge of the initial flux. The goal of cutting down this uncertainty to 1% can be achieved through the monitoring of charged leptons produced in association with neutrinos, by properly instrumenting the decay region of a conventional narrow-band neutrino beam. The CERN SPS Low Level RF feedback with amplitude and frequency modulation

The CERN SPS Low Level RF (LLRF) has undergone a major upgrade, including the complete redesign of the 200 MHz Cavity-Controllers [1,2] and the Beam-Control [3]during the Long Shutdown two (LS2) in 2018-21. Two major goals motivated the upgrade, first the required doubling of the proton beam intensity injected from the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) for the High Luminosity Large HadronCollider (HL-LHC) project, second the implementation of the slip-stacking of two families of ions bunches, 100 ns spacing, to generate a 50 ns spacing after interleaving. Dual-scattering foil installation at CLEAR

The CLEAR facility at CERN allows users to receive an electron beam with energy up to 200 MeV, allowing flexibility in intensity, beam size and bunch structures.
