Performance analysis of dynamically integrated HPC resources in the ATLAS workflow at the WLCG Tier-2 site in Freiburg / Boehler, Michael (University of Freiburg (DE)) ; Sammel, Dirk (University of Freiburg (DE)) ; Schumacher, Markus (University of Freiburg (DE)) /ATLAS Collaboration
At many Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG) sites, HPC resources are already integrated, or will be integrated in the near future, into the experiment specific workflows. The integration can be done either in an opportunistic way to use otherwise unused resources for a limited period of time, or in a permanent way. [...]

New techniques for reconstructing and calibrating hadronic objects with ATLAS / Klein, Matthew Henry (Southern Methodist University (US)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The precision and reach of physics analyses at the LHC is often tied to the performance of hadronic object reconstruction & calibration, with any incremental gains in understanding & reduced uncertainties being impactful on ATLAS results. Recent refinements to the reconstruction and calibration procedures for jets & missing energy by the ATLAS collaboration has resulted in reduced uncertainties, improved pileup stability and overall performance gains. Searches for new phenomena beyond the Standard Model with the ATLAS detector / Pareti, Andrea (Pavia University and INFN (IT)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Many theories beyond the Standard Model predict new phenomena giving rise to observable final states. Examples include exotic Higgs bosons, supersymmetric particles, Z', W' bosons, KK gravitons, vector-like quarks/leptons or heavy leptons, or DM. [...]

Implementation of a kinematic fit algorithm in the search for Higgs boson pairs produced at the LHC and detected with ATLAS in the bˉbγγb¯bγγ final state / Orlandini, Romano (Universita e INFN Roma Tre (IT)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The observation of Higgs boson pairs is a fundamental step towards understanding the model of spontaneous electro-weak symmetry breaking as it represents the most direct method to estimate the cubic term of the Higgs boson potential, responsible for the tri-linear self-coupling of the boson (λHHH). This presentation will discuss the status and future perspectives of the search for such events produced at the LHC and detected with the ATLAS detector in the final state bˉbγγ, one of the most sensitive decay channels to the tri-linear coupling of the Higgs. Universal Fake Factor method to estimate hadronic tau backgrounds in ATLAS / Martinovicova, Gabriela (Charles University (CZ)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Processes involving tau leptons are important for Standard Model measurements and searches for new physics at the LHC. Due to the challenges of modelling hadronic tau decays and their associated backgrounds, data-driven estimation techniques are strongly favoured. [...]

Highlights on top quark physics with the ATLAS Experiment at the LHC / Eckerova, Barbora (Comenius University (SK)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The large top quark samples collected with the ATLAS experiment at the LHC have yielded measurements of the production cross section of unprecedented precision and in new kinematic regimes. They have also enabled new measurements of top quark properties that were previously inaccessible, enabled the observation of many rare top quark production processes predicted by the Standard Model and boosted searches in the Top sector.
