Jet flavour tagging at ATLAS with GN3 / Biswas, Diptaparna (Universitaet Siegen (DE)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Accurate identification of jets that originate from heavy-flavour hadrons is pivotal for many ATLAS analyses, from Higgs-boson and top-quark measurements to searches for new physics. We present GN3, the newest heavy-flavour tagger, which introduces a full-transformer architecture tailored to the environment of Run 2 and Run 3. [...]

Challenges in experimental measurements of quantum properties at the LHC / Jones, Eleanor (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DE)) /ATLAS Collaboration
This talk highlights the challenges faced when attempting to measure quantum properties. In particular, difficulties in the identification of jet flavours and the reconstruction of ttbar systems will be considered, especially in the boosted topology where the decay products become highly collimated..

Orchestrating Quasi-Real Time Data Processing in the Computing Farm of the ATLAS Experiment at CERN / Avolio, Giuseppe (CERN) /ATLAS Collaboration
What has Kubernetes got to do with a High Energy Physics experiment collecting one million physics events per second at a data rate of 5 TB/s? That is what we would like to show you! The ATLAS experiment at CERN filters one million complex collision signatures per second provided by the Large Hadron Collider in quasi real-time, using a mixture of custom electronics and a large computing farm (the Event Filter – EF – farm) consisting of up to 5000 commodity servers. In this talk, we will tell you how we are going to exploit Kubernetes to orchestrate the ATLAS EF computing farm. [...]

The impact of Artificial Intelligence on precision Higgs Boson physics / Rousseau, David (Université Paris-Saclay (FR)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Particle physics has a rich history of developing advanced simulators, ranging from modelling proton collisions to creating virtual detectors. We are now integrating Artificial Intelligence through "Neural Simulation Based Inference," which enables the analysis of complex phenomena that cannot be computed analytically from first principles. [...]

Electroweak and QCD Measurements in ATLAS / Fabbri, Laura (Universita e INFN, Bologna (IT)) /ATLAS Collaboration
This talk will discuss recent results from the ATLAS experiment concerning measurements in the electroweak and QCD sector. The highlighted topics include precision measurements of Drell-Yan and multiboson processes (including vector-boson-scattering), differential measurements of vector boson plus jets and multijets, novel study of jet substructures, probe of soft QCD phenomena, and precision heavy-flavor measurements. ATLAS results on quantum entanglement / Mitsou, Vasiliki (Univ. of Valencia and CSIC (ES)) /ATLAS Collaboration
Quantum information science is booming, and high-energy physics is getting involved. This study presents the ATLAS experiment's measurement of quantum entanglement in top quark pair production: the highest-energy measurement of entanglement ever made, and the first between fundamental fermions. [...]

Performance analysis of dynamically integrated HPC resources in the ATLAS workflow at the WLCG Tier-2 site in Freiburg / Boehler, Michael (University of Freiburg (DE)) ; Sammel, Dirk (University of Freiburg (DE)) ; Schumacher, Markus (University of Freiburg (DE)) /ATLAS Collaboration
At many Worldwide LHC Computing Grid (WLCG) sites, HPC resources are already integrated, or will be integrated in the near future, into the experiment specific workflows. The integration can be done either in an opportunistic way to use otherwise unused resources for a limited period of time, or in a permanent way. [...]

New techniques for reconstructing and calibrating hadronic objects with ATLAS / Klein, Matthew Henry (Southern Methodist University (US)) /ATLAS Collaboration
The precision and reach of physics analyses at the LHC is often tied to the performance of hadronic object reconstruction & calibration, with any incremental gains in understanding & reduced uncertainties being impactful on ATLAS results. Recent refinements to the reconstruction and calibration procedures for jets & missing energy by the ATLAS collaboration has resulted in reduced uncertainties, improved pileup stability and overall performance gains.
