ADM, BMS, and some puzzling interconnections / Veneziano, Gabriele (CERN ; College de France)
The precise connection between the ADM and BMS formalisms is still far from being fully understood. It leads superficially to some puzzles whose resolution can provide new interesting physical insights. [...]

The hadronic contribution to the running of $\alpha$ and the electroweak mixing angle / Conigli, Alessandro (Helmholtz Inst., Mainz ; Darmstadt, GSI) ; von Hippel, Georg (U. Mainz, PRISMA) ; Kuberski, Simon (CERN) ; Meyer, Harvey B. (Helmholtz Inst., Mainz ; Darmstadt, GSI ; U. Mainz, PRISMA) ; Ottnad, Konstantin (U. Mainz, PRISMA) ; Wittig, Hartmut (Helmholtz Inst., Mainz ; Darmstadt, GSI ; U. Mainz, PRISMA)
We report on our update to [1] on the hadronic running of electroweak couplings from $O(a)$-improved Wilson fermions with $N_f=2+1$ flavours. The inclusion of additional ensembles at very fine lattice spacings together with a number of techniques to split the different contributions for a better control of cutoff effects allows us to substantially improve the precision. Machine-learning techniques as noise reduction strategies in lattice calculations of the muon $g-2$ / Wittig, Hartmut (U. Mainz, PRISMA ; Mainz U., Inst. Phys. ; Darmstadt, GSI) ; Blum, Thomas (Connecticut U.) ; Conigli, Alessandro (Mainz U., Inst. Phys. ; Darmstadt, GSI) ; Geyer, Lukas (U. Mainz, PRISMA) ; Kuberski, Simon (CERN) ; Segner, Alexander (Mainz U., Inst. Phys. ; Darmstadt, GSI ; U. Mainz, PRISMA)
Lattice calculations of the hadronic contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment are numerically highly demanding due to the necessity of reaching total errors at the sub-percent level. Noise-reduction techniques such as low-mode averaging have been applied successfully to determine the vector-vector correlator with high statistical precision in the long-distance regime, but display an unfavourable scaling in terms of numerical cost. The Irrelevance of Primordial Black Hole Clustering in the LVK mass range / Crescimbeni, F. (U. Rome La Sapienza (main) ; INFN, Rome) ; Desjacques, V. (Technion) ; Franciolini, G. (CERN) ; Ianniccari, A. (Geneva U., CAP) ; Iovino, A.J. (Geneva U., CAP) ; Perna, G. (Padua U. ; Padua U., Astron. Dept. ; INFN, Padua) ; Perrone, D. (Geneva U., CAP) ; Riotto, A. (Geneva U., CAP) ; Veermäe, H. (NICPB, Tallinn)
We show that in realistic models where primordial black holes are formed due to the collapse of sizeable inflationary perturbations, their initial spatial clustering beyond Poisson distribution does not play any role in the binary mergers, including sub-solar primordial black holes, responsible for the gravitational waves detectable by LIGO-Virgo-KAGRA. This is a consequence of the existing FIRAS CMB distortion constraints on the relevant scales. [...]

Factorisation schemes for proton PDFs / Delorme, Stéphane (Cracow, INP) ; Kusina, Aleksander (Cracow, INP) ; Siódmok, Andrzej (Jagiellonian U.) ; Whitehead, James (Cracow, INP ; Jagiellonian U.)
Beyond leading-order, perturbative QCD requires a choice of factorisation scheme to define the parton distribution functions (PDFs) and hard-process cross-section. The modified minimal-subtraction ($\overline{\mathrm{MS}}$) scheme has long been adopted as the default choice due to its simplicity. [...]

Flavor mixing in charmonium and light mesons with optimal distillation profiles / Urrea-Niño, Juan Andrés (Wuppertal U.) ; Knechtli, Francesco (Wuppertal U.) ; Finkenrath, Jacob (CERN) ; Korzec, Tomasz (Wuppertal U.) ; Peardon, Michael J. (Trinity Coll., Dublin) ; Höllwieser, Roman (Wuppertal U.)
We study the light meson - charmonium - glueball mixing using flavor-singlet meson operators built from optimal distillation profiles together with purely gluonic operators in different $J^{PC}$ channels at two different pion masses ($\approx$$420$, $800$ MeV) in two $N_{\rm f} = 3 + 1$ ensembles at close to physical charm quark mass. We observe non-zero mixing correlations between the different types of operators and quantify the overlaps between states created by them and the energy eigenstates by means of a GEVP formulation. From scattering towards multi-hadron weak decays / Erben, Felix (CERN)
In this article I provide an overview of the current state of scattering within lattice QCD, along with ongoing projects that examine weak decays involving scattering states as either final or intermediate states. Significant progress has been made in the study of multi-hadron weak decays, opening the door for scattering calculations to make meaningful contributions to flavour physics and further establishing lattice QCD as the key non-perturbative tool for QCD predictions. Update on two-level sampling for glueball observables in quenched QCD / Barca, Lorenzo (NIC, Zeuthen) ; Finkenrath, Jacob (CERN) ; Knechtli, Francesco (Wuppertal U.) ; Peardon, Michael J. (Trinity Coll., Dublin) ; Schaefer, Stefan (NIC, Zeuthen) ; Urrea-Niño, Juan Andrés (Wuppertal U.)
We report our progress in combining a two-level sampling algorithm with distillation techniques for calculations of disconnected diagrams in quenched QCD. The simulations are performed on a single ensemble at $\beta=6.0$ and volume $V=16^3\times 64$, and at a pion mass of $m_\pi\approx 760~\mathrm{MeV}$..

Hessian-free force-gradient integrators and their application to lattice QCD simulations / Schäfers, Kevin (Wuppertal U.) ; Finkenrath, Jacob (Wuppertal U. ; CERN) ; Günther, Michael (Wuppertal U.) ; Knechtli, Francesco (Wuppertal U.)
We present initial results on Hessian-free force-gradient integrators for lattice field theories. Integrators of this framework promise to provide substantial performance enhancements, particularly for larger lattice volumes where higher-order integrators demonstrate greater efficiency. [...]

Is gauge mediation in the swampland? / Dalianis, Ioannis (Athens U.) ; Farakos, Fotis (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Kehagias, Alex (Natl. Tech. U., Athens)
We note that the typical gauge mediation of supersymmetry breaking is in tension with the global limit of the festina lente swampland bound. The alternatives are mediation/breaking schemes that decouple together with gravity, as for example gravity mediation, for which we highlight some basic phenomenological properties. [...]
