Daily modulations and broadband strategy in axion searches: An application with the CAST-CAPP detector
/ Caspers, F. (ESI, Archamps ; CERN) ; Adair, C.M. (British Columbia U.) ; Altenmüller, K. (Zaragoza U.) ; Anastassopoulos, V. (Patras U.) ; Cuendis, S. Arguedas (CERN) ; Baier, J. (Freiburg U.) ; Barth, K. (CERN) ; Belov, A. (CERN) ; Bozicevic, D. (Rijeka U.) ; Bräuninger, H. (Garching, Max Planck Inst., MPE) et al.
It has been previously advocated that the presence of the daily and annual modulations of the axion flux on the Earth's surface may dramatically change the strategy of the axion searches. The arguments were based on the so-called Axion Quark Nugget (AQN) dark matter model which was originally put forward to explain the similarity of the dark and visible cosmological matter densities Ωdark∼Ωvisible. Exploring scintillators and Cherenkov radiators for MIP timing detectors
/ Cala', R. (Milan Bicocca U. ; CERN) ; Martinazzoli, L. (CERN ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Kratochwil, N. (CERN) ; Frank, I. (CERN ; Munich U.) ; Salomoni, M. (CERN ; Milan Bicocca U.) ; Pagano, F. This article presents the timing performance of materials with fast light emission, tested as Minimum Ionizing Particle detectors using 150 GeV hadron beams in Monte Carlo simulations and at the CERN SPS North Area. Pixels of cross-section 2 x 2 mm2 or 3 x 3 mm2 and length of 3 or 10 mm were coupled to Hamamatsu SiPM and read out by fast high-frequency electronics. [...]

Bose-Einstein correlations at LHCb
/ Kucharczyk, M (Cracow, INP)
/LHCb Collaboration
LHCb detector, considered as a general purpose detector in the forward rapidity region (2 < η < 5), has a potential to investigate the quantum interference
effects at large rapidities and low transverse momenta. The results on the Bose-Einstein correlations of same-sign charged pions are summarized, being measured in proton-proton collisions at √s = 7 TeV centre-of-mass energy and proton-lead collisions at a nucleon-nucleon centre-of-mass energy of √sNN = 5.02 TeV. Two-particle angular correlations of identified particles in pp and p-Pb collisions at LHC energies with ALICE
/ Ruggiano, Daniela (Warsaw U. of Tech.)
/ALICE Collaboration
The two-particle angular correlations in the Δy Δϕ space provide valuable insights into the properties of hadronization mechanisms and quark-gluon plasma properties. The correlation functions are influenced by several physical sources, including mini-jet correlations, Bose-Einstein quantum statistics, resonance decays, conservation of energy and momentum, and other factors [...]
