Search for rare muonic B decays at CMS
/ Szlezak, Klara Emilia (Warsaw U.)
/CMS Collaboration
In this paper, we present the search for three highly suppressed Standard Model processes at the CMS experiment: $B^{0} \to \mu^+ \mu^-$, $B_{s}^{0} \to \mu^+ \mu^-$, and $B_{s}^{0} \to \mu^+ \mu^- \gamma$. The latest and most precise
results to date are presented for the first two decays, while the feasibility and experimental strategy for the third, yet unobserved at CMS, are discussed. [...]

U(1) Gauging, Continuous TQFTs, and Higher Symmetry Structures
/ Arbalestrier, Adrien (Brussels U., PTM ; Intl. Solvay Inst., Brussels) ; Argurio, Riccardo (Brussels U., PTM ; Intl. Solvay Inst., Brussels) ; Tizzano, Luigi (CERN)
Quantum field theories can exhibit various generalized symmetry structures, among which higher-group symmetries and non-invertible symmetry defects are particularly prominent. [...]

Precision cross-sections for advancing cosmic-ray physics. Input to the 2026 ESPPU from the XSCRC community
/ Mariani, S. (CERN) ; Audouin, L. (IJCLab, Orsay) ; Berti, E. (INFN, Florence) ; Coppin, P. (Geneva U.) ; Di Mauro, M. (INFN, Turin) ; von Doetinchem, P. (Hawaii U.) ; Donato, F. (CERN ; INFN, Turin ; Turin U. ; Turin Observ.) ; Evoli, C. (GSSI, Aquila ; Gran Sasso) ; Génolini, Y. (Annecy, LAPTH) ; Ghosh, P. (NASA, Goddard) et al.
The latest generation of cosmic-ray direct detection experiments is providing a wealth of high-precision data, stimulating a very rich and active debate in the community on the related strong discovery and constraining potentials on many topics, namely dark matter nature, and the sources, acceleration, and transport of Galactic cosmic rays. Metal Foil Detectors assembly for the beam and background monitoring in the LHCb experiment
/ Pugatch, V. (Kiev, INR) ; Alessio, F. (CERN) ; Balagura, V. (LLR, Palaiseau) ; Blanc, F. (Ecole Polytechnique, Lausanne) ; Chernyshenko, S. (Kiev, INR) ; Dobishuk, V. (Kiev, INR) ; Kyva, V. (Kiev, INR) ; Okhrimenko, O. (Kiev, INR) ; Ramazanov, D. (Kiev, INR) ; Schindler, H. (CERN) et al.
After an upgrade in 2019--2021, the LHCb experiment is taking data in Run 3 (2022--2026) with an instantaneous luminosity of proton-proton collisions of $2\!\times\!10^{33}$ cm$^{-2}$s$^{-1}$. [...]
