Higgs boson properties and tau lepton identification at the $\sqrt{s}$ = 3 TeV Muon Collider / Valla, Lorenzo
The Higgs sector of the Standard Model (SM) is of critical importance in high energy particle physics, as the Higgs boson $H$ could couple with new particles and provide a portal to New Physics (NP) [...]

Research and Development Status for an Innovative Crystal Calorimeter for the Future Muon Collider / Cantone, C (Frascati) ; Ceravolo, S (Frascati) ; Colao, F (ENEA, Frascati) ; Meco, E Di (Frascati) ; Diociaiuti, E (Frascati) ; Frank, I (Munich U. ; CERN) ; Gianotti, P (Frascati) ; Gargiulo, R (INFN, Rome ; Rome U.) ; Leonardi, E (CERN ; UC, Riverside) ; Lucchesi, D (INFN, Padua) et al.
Accurate measurements of physical processes in high energy frontier experiments demand exceptional spatial, temporal, and energy precision to discern the physics behind high-energy particle jets. Calorimeters, like other detection systems, must be able to meet these increasingly challenging performance requirements. [...]

Comparative Analysis of Resistive Dipole Accelerator Magnets for a Muon Collider / Breschi, M (U. Bologna (main)) ; Cavallucci, L (U. Bologna (main)) ; Miceli, R (U. Bologna (main)) ; Ribani, P L (U. Bologna (main)) ; Bottura, L (CERN) ; Boattini, F (CERN) ; Fabbri, S (CERN) ; Gersem, H De (Darmstadt, Tech. U.)
This work focuses on the design of resistive dipole accelerator magnets for the Muon Collider accelerator under study in the frame of the International Muon Collider Cooperation (IMCC) and with the participation of the European Union (MuCol program). The design specifications require that these dipoles are subjected to very fast ramps, with ramp times in the range from 1 ms to 10 ms. [...]

Conceptual Design of a Target and Capture Channel for a Muon Collider / Accettura, C (CERN) ; Bottura, L (CERN) ; Calviani, M (CERN) ; Calzolari, D (CERN) ; Ximenes, R Franqueira (CERN) ; Kolehmainen, A (CERN) ; Lechner, A (CERN) ; Gomez, J Lorenzo (Fusion for Energy, Barcelona) ; Portone, A (Fusion for Energy, Barcelona) ; Esteban, F J Saura (CERN) et al.
The “target and capture channel” is one of the crucial systems in a Muon Collider, whose function is to create an intense muon beam from the decay of the pions generated by a multi-MW proton beam impinging on a particle-producing target. To guarantee the capture of the pions and resulting muons, the channel consists of a sequence of solenoids, providing a well-defined profile on axis, with 20 T peak at the target location and an adiabatic decrease along the channel length. [...]

The international particle physics community considers a Muon Collider (MC) as a possible option for the successor of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. An international collaboration has recently been set up to produce a conceptual design study of a Muon Collider. [...]

Following the recommendation of the Updated European Strategy for Particle Physics, an International Muon Collider Collaboration has been formed and is currently studying the feasibility of a 10 TeV center-of-mass energy muon collider facility. Several technical challenges must be faced, mainly due to the limited muon lifetime at rest, 2.2 µs. [...]

The Effective Vector Boson Approximation in high-energy muon collisions / Ruiz, Richard (Cracow, INP) ; Costantini, Antonio (Louvain U., CP3) ; Maltoni, Fabio (Louvain U., CP3 ; INFN, Bologna) ; Mattelaer, Olivier (Louvain U., CP3)
Due to the inclination for forward gauge radiation, lepton colliders beyond a few TeV are effectively electroweak (EW) boson colliders, suggesting the treatment of EW bosons as constituents of high-energy leptons. In the context of a muon collider, we revisit the validity of W and Z parton distribution functions (PDFs) at leading order in 2 → n process. [...]

NLO electroweak corrections to multi-boson processes at a muon collider / Bredt, Pia M (DESY) ; Kilian, Wolfgang (Siegen U.) ; Reuter, Jürgen (DESY) ; Stienemeier, Pascal (DESY)
We present results on NLO electroweak (EW) corrections to multiple massive boson production processes at a future muon collider. Inclusive cross sections with $\mathcal{O}(\alpha)$ corrections for processes for up to four bosons in the final state as well as differential distributions for $HZ$ production are computed for $\sqrt{s}=3$, $10$ and $14$ TeV by using FKS subtraction in the NLO EW automated Monte-Carlo framework WHIZARD+RECOLA. LePDF: Standard Model PDFs for high-energy lepton colliders / Garosi, Francesco (SISSA, Trieste ; INFN, Trieste) ; Marzocca, David (INFN, Trieste) ; Trifinopoulos, Sokratis (MIT, Cambridge, CTP)
The emission of collinear radiation off an elementary lepton can be factorised from the hard scattering process by introducing Parton Distribution Functions of a Lepton (LePDF), which, contrary to protons, can be derived from first principles. In case of multi-TeV lepton colliders, such as the muon colliders currently being proposed, the complete structure of Standard Model interactions must be taken into account. [...]
