Measurement of the photon-fusion production cross section of a pair of W bosons
/CMS Collaboration
A measurement of the cross section of W boson pair production in photon fusion ($\gamma\gamma\rightarrow\mathrm{WW}$) is presented, using an integrated luminosity of $138~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of proton-proton collision data collected in 2016-2018 at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$. Events are selected in the final state with one electron, one muon, and a low multiplicity of tracks associated with the electron-muon production vertex.

Search for new physics using single-lepton events with high jet and b jet multiplicities in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$
/CMS Collaboration
This note presents a search for new physics using single-lepton events with high multiplicity of jets and b-tagged jets, without a requirement on missing transverse momentum. The analysis is based on proton-proton collision data collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $138~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$.

Measurement of the charge asymmetry in WH production in the H to tau tau decay channel
/CMS Collaboration
We are presenting a measurement of the charge asymmetry in $\mathrm{WH}$ production based on the full LHC Run-2 data set of proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $13 \, \mathrm{TeV}$ collected with the CMS experiment in the years 2016-2018. The data set corresponds to an integrated luminosity of $138 \, \mathrm{fb}^{-1}$.

Search for long-lived particles decaying into muons in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13.6~\mathrm{TeV}$ using the CMS scouting data sets
/CMS Collaboration
A search for long-lived particles decaying into muons is performed using proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=13.6~\mathrm{TeV}$, collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2022 and 2023, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $62.4~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The data sets used in this search were collected with a dedicated dimuon trigger stream with low transverse momentum thresholds, recorded at high rate by retaining a reduced amount of information, in order to explore otherwise inaccessible phase space at low multimuon mass and nonzero displacement from the primary interaction vertex.

Search for heavy scalar resonances decaying to a Higgs and a Higgs-like boson in the Lorentz-boosted $\mathrm{b\overline{b}}4\mathrm{q}$ final state
/CMS Collaboration
A search is performed for a heavy scalar resonance X decaying to a Higgs boson (H) and Higgs-like scalar boson (Y) in the $\mathrm{H}\to\mathrm{b\overline{b}}$ and $\mathrm{Y}\to\mathrm{VV}\to4\mathrm{q}$ final state, where q denotes a quark. Masses of the X boson between 900 and $4000\,\mathrm{GeV}$ and the Y between 60 and $2800\,\mathrm{GeV}$ are considered.

Search for exotic Higgs boson decays $H \to \mathcal{A}\mathcal{A}$ with $\mathcal{A} \to \gamma\gamma$ in events with a partially merged topology in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13~\mathrm{TeV}$
/CMS Collaboration
A search for an exotic decay of the Higgs boson to a pair of light pseudoscalars $H \to \mathcal{A}\mathcal{A}$ with $\mathcal{A} \to \gamma\gamma$ is presented, using events with a partially merged topology. One of the hypothetical particles $\mathcal{A}$ is assumed to decay promptly into a semi-merged diphoton system reconstructed as a single photon-like object, while the other $\mathcal{A}$ decays into two resolved photons.

Highly boosted dielectron identification in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13~\mathrm{TeV}$
/CMS Collaboration
Searches for highly boosted new particles that decay to dielectron pairs can be challenging, as the relatively coarse granularity of many calorimeters and the size of their effective Moli$\mathrm{\grave{e}}$re radius can lead to their misidentification as single electrons. A new technique is developed to identify electron pairs in the range of Lorentz boost $\gamma > 20$ which produce one single merged cluster in the electromagnetic calorimeter of the CMS detector.
