Anomaly detection with AXOL1TL at the CMS Level-1 Trigger in 2024 and 2025 /CMS Collaboration
AXOL1TL (Anomaly eXtraction Online Level-1 Trigger aLgorithm) is a machine learning-based anomaly detection algorithm deployed at the CMS Level-1 Global Trigger. It is an event-level trigger that selects anomalous events in real time using an unsupervised, signal-agnostic approach, providing sensitivity to a wide variety of signals. [...]

Performance of CMS endcap muon CSC and GEM detector in 2025 /CMS Collaboration
A major component of the CMS endcap muon detector is a system of 540 Cathode Strip Chambers (CSCs). A CSC is a multiwire proportional chamber in which the cathode signal is also read out and which can be used for precise determination of the position at which a charged particle crosses the chamber. [...]

Low-latency electron $p_T$ regression with the CMS Phase-2 Level 1 trigger /CMS Collaboration
The CMS Level-1 Trigger (L1T) for the HL-LHC will use powerful FPGA processors connected by a high-bandwidth network of optical fibers. The new system will have access to online tracking, which enables the identification of calorimeter deposits originating from electrons. [...]

Extending the Features of the CMS Phase-2 Level-1 Trigger Scouting /CMS Collaboration
Traditional data streams rely on a decision of the Level-1 trigger to accept only a fraction of the events for further processing and selection by the High Level Trigger, followed by an offline analysis of the selected events. Level-1 scouting introduces an alternative path, by analyzing events only based on the Level-1 trigger reconstruction without a preselection. [...]

Measurement of $p_T$ Dependent Bending Angles in the CMS GE1/1-ME1/1 system and GE1/1 Alignment Result using 2025 p-p collision data /CMS Collaboration
The Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) subdetector system was designed for three stations in the endcap region. GEM (GE1/1) chambers were installed in the first muon station and first ring during the second long shutdown (2019- 2021) to achieve acceptable first level trigger rates for muons with reasonably low transverse momentum ($p_T$) thresholds. The performance of the standalone muon trigger is driven by the $p_T$-dependent bending angles measured between the GEM and Cathode Strip Chamber (CSC) detectors. [...]

MEMFlow in Double Higgs search application /CMS Collaboration
The Matrix Element Method (MEM) offers optimal statistical power for hypothesis testing in particle physics, but its application is hindered by the computationally intensive multidimensional integrals required to model detector effects. We present a novel approach that addresses this challenge by employing Transformers and generative machine learning (ML) models. [...]

Validation of online GPU vs. CPU reconstruction in Pixel, ECAL, HCAL, and PF /CMS Collaboration
Since the beginning of Run 3, the CMS experiment has implemented a heterogeneous scheme for the High-Level Trigger (HLT) farm that integrates NVIDIA GPU accelerators for online event reconstruction. This note reports on the validation of GPU-based reconstruction against CPU for pixel, ECAL, and HCAL local reconstruction, as well as for pixel track and vertex reconstruction and the clustering stage of Particle Flow (PF) reconstruction. From bins to flows: unbinned and multivariate scale factors /CMS Collaboration
Most CMS objects, taggers, and triggers are calibrated using likelihood fits. A widely used technique for measuring efficiencies, particularly for electrons and muons, is the Tag-and-Probe method. This approach exploits the clean signature of $Z\rightarrow l^{+}l^{-}$ decays: one lepton is required to pass stringent identification and trigger criteria (the tag), while the other (the probe) is used to study the efficiency of a given selection in both data and Monte Carlo (MC) simulation. Calibration of the jet mass scale using boosted W bosons and top quarks for data taken in 2022 /CMS Collaboration
This note reports correction factors, to be applied to simulation, for soft drop jet mass for the identification of hadronically decaying top quarks or W bosons. These scale factors are calculated from and are valid for the proton--proton collision data set at $\sqrt{s} = 13.6$ TeV from the 2022 data-taking of the CMS experiment, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of $34.65 fb ^{#-1}$..
