We present the development and testing of a Micromegas detector prototype and its front end intended to be a candidate for the substitutions of some of the Multiwire Proportional Chambers in the future AMBER (NA66) experiment at CERN. Results of the test of the first small size prototype are discussed..

Strange-Meson Spectroscopy – from COMPASS to AMBER / Wallner, S. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) /COMPASS Collaboration ; AMBER Collaboration
COMPASS is a multi-purpose fixed-target experiment at CERN's M2 beam line aimed at studying the structure and spectrum of hadrons. It has collected the so far world's largest data set on diffractive production of the $K^-\pi^-\pi^+$ final state, which in principle gives access to all strange mesons. [...]

Spectroscopy, gluon structure and polarisability of kaons in the new QCD facility at the M2 beam line at CERN SPS / Badelek, Barbara (Warsaw U.) /COMPASS++/AMBER Collaboration
The COMPASS++ /AMBER (proto-) Collaboration proposes a broad experimental programme for the “New QCD facility at the M2 beam line of the CERN SP”, to ommense after 2021. Inthis article, a few of unique second-generation experimentsthat rely on high-energy high intensity RF-separated kaon beams planned to operate after 2026 are highlighted: the kaon spectroscopywith kaon beam, a study of the gluon distribution in the kaon via prompt-photon production and a kaon polarisability measurement..

Hadron research with AMBER at CERN / Friedrich, Jan (Munich, Tech. U.) /AMBER Collaboration
The recently approved NA66/AMBER experiment (Apparatus for Meson and Baryon Experimental Research) at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron pursues a broad research program in quantum chromodynamics. It ranges in its first phase from a precision measurement of the proton radius with a 100 GeV muon beam to investigating the quark-gluon structure of mesons in Drell-Yan processes. [...]
