Supplemental figures: Measurement of the inclusive isolated-photon production cross section in pp and Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV
/ALICE collaboration
The following note presents supplemental figures and additional material for the paper: ``Measurement of the inclusive isolated-photon production cross section in pp and Pb-Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}$ = 5.02 TeV'' A description of the calorimeter cell clusterization algorithm and cell selection for the shower spread calculation is presented. Supplementary figures are provided: shower shape distributions, including the effect on the variation of the cross-talk emulation parameters in the simulation; the underlying event subtraction with different area definitions; and isolated photon efficiency. Assessing the speed of sound in Pb–Pb collisions with ALICE
/ALICE collaboration
Ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions produce a state of hot and dense strongly interacting QCD matter called quark--gluon plasma (QGP). On an event-by-event basis, the volume of the QGP in ultra-central collisions is mostly constant, while its total entropy can vary significantly, leading to variations in the temperature of the system. [...]

Physics Preliminary Summary: D$^0$ meson yields as a function of the underlying event activity in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ = 13 TeV
/ALICE Collaboration
This public note presents the first measurement by the ALICE experiment of D$^0$ production as a function of the transverse event activity classifier $R_{\rm T}$ in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV at central rapidity ($|\eta|<0.8$). Events containing a leading particle with $p_{\rm T}^{\rm lead}>5$ GeV/$c$ that have above-average underlying event activity suggest a higher per-event D$^0$ yield in the toward region than events with below-average underlying event activity for $2 < p_{\rm T}^{\rm D^0} < 5$ GeV/$c$. Physics performance of the ALICE Forward Calorimeter upgrade
/ALICE collaboration
The ALICE Collaboration proposes to instrument the existing ALICE detector with a forward calorimeter system (FoCal), planned to take data during LHC Run 4 (2029$-$2032). The FoCal detector is a highly-granular Si+W electromagnetic calorimeter combined with a conventional sampling hadronic calorimeter, covering the pseudo-rapidity interval of $3.2<\eta<5.8$. [...]

Chasing the onset of strange-quark thermalization at the LHC
/ALICE collaboration
This note presents the first measurement of event-by-event fluctuations of the net-$\Xi^\pm$ number and of its correlation with the net-kaon number. The study is based on data collected by the ALICE Collaboration in pp, p$-$Pb, and Pb$-$Pb collisions at a center-of-mass energy per nucleon--nucleon pair $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}=5.02\ \mathrm{TeV}$. Upgrade of the ALICE Inner Tracking System during LS3: study of physics performance
/ALICE Collaboration
This document summarises the studies on several observables whose measurement will be made accessible or largely improved by the upgrade of the inner barrel of the ALICE Inner Tracking System (ITS) for the LHC Run~4 (2029--2032). This upgrade project foresees the construction of a new inner barrel, denominated ITS3, made of three new fully cylindrical ultra-thin layers of monolithic active pixel sensors. [...]
