Characterisation of small scale MLR1 devices for ALICE ITS3 / Sturniolo, Alessandro (Messina U. ; INFN, Catania) /ALICE Collaboration
During the upcoming Long Shutdown 3 (scheduled for 2026–2029), the ALICE Inner Tracking System (ITS), currently at its second version (ITS2), will be further upgraded to ITS3. After the upgrade, the 3 innermost ITS2 layers (Inner Barrel, or IB) will be replaced by 3 flexible, truly cylindrical layers of stitched large-scale MAPS, produced with the TPSCo 65 nm technology. Measurement of the impact-parameter dependent azimuthal anisotropy in coherent ρ0 photoproduction with ALICE / Riffero, Andrea G (INFN, Turin ; U. Turin (main)) /ALICE Collaboration
Coherent vector meson photoproduction in ultraperipheral heavy-ion collisions is a well established tool to probe the gluon structure of the colliding nuclei. We will focus on the observation of quantum interference effects in the ρ 0 meson photoproduction, in the form of angular anisotropy [...]

Design and first experience of the prototype pixel layers for the ALICE FoCal / Bodova, Tea (Bergen U.) ; Alme, Johan (Bergen U.) ; Borshchov, Viatcheslav (Kharkov Natl. The University of Bergen is involved in developing two calorimeters: the pixel section ofthe Electromagnetic Forward Calorimeter for the ALICE Upgrade to be installed during LS3 fordata-taking in the period 2029–2032 and the Digital Tracking Calorimeter for the proton ComputedTomography prototype. Both designs utilize pixel sensors and require a reliable connection to thereadout which is positioned approximately 5 meters away. [...]

Insight into the light-flavour particle production mechanism from studies of the transverse spherocity dependence in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s}$ =13 TeV with ALICE at the LHC / Rath, Rutuparna (INFN, Bologna) /ALICE Collaboration
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) Run 1 and Run 2 data revealed heavy-ion-like features such as enhanced strangeness production and long-range azimuthal correlation in high-multiplicity pp collisions paving the way to rethink particle production in small collision systems. Event shape observables like transverse spherocity are sensitive to isotropic and jet-like topologies, which are useful tools to distinguish the pp collisions dominated by soft or hard physics. [...]

Constraining hadronization processes with charmed baryons in pp and p–Pb collisions with ALICE / Seo, Jinjoo (Inha U.) /ALICE Collaboration
The latest measurements of D0, D+ and Ds+ mesons with the final measurements of Λc+,Ξc0,+, Σc0,++, and the first measurement of Ωcc baryons performed with the ALICE detector at midrapidity in pp collisions √S = 5.02 TeV and √S = 13 TeV are presented. Furthermore, the recent Λc+/D0 yield ratio, measured down to pT = 0 in p-Pb collisions are discussed. [...]

Charm production: Constraint to transport models and charm diffusion coefficient with ALICE / Völkl, Martin (Heidelberg U.) /ALICE Collaboration
New measurements of D mesons with the ALICE detector, interpreted with theoretical models, can give additional information about the spatial diffusion coefficient, a characteristic of the QGP medium. The relevant ingredients to the models can be assessed by comparing the predictions with diverse measurements of charmed hadrons. [...]

Feasibility study of the Alice fixed-target experiment with HL-LHC lead ion beams based on crystal-assisted beam Halo splitting / Patecki, Marcin (Warsaw U. of Tech. (main)) ; Monikowska, Marta (Warsaw U. of Tech. (main))
The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) is the world's largest and most powerful particle accelerator, colliding beams of protons and lead ions at energies up to 7 ZTeV. ALICE is one of the detector experiments optimized for heavy-ion collisions.A fixed-target experiment in ALICE is considered to collide a portion of the beam halo, split using a bent crystal, with an internal target placed a few meters upstream of the detector. Test beam performance of a novel RICH detector with timing capabilities for the future ALICE 3 PID system at LHC / Mazziotta, M N (INFN, Bari) ; Congedo, L (INFN, Bari) ; De Robertis, G (INFN, Bari) ; Di Mauro, A (CERN) ; Licciulli, F (INFN, Bari) ; Lorusso, L (INFN, Bari ; Bari U. ; Bari Polytechnic) ; Martinengo, P (CERN) ; Nappi, E (INFN, Bari) ; Nicassio, N (INFN, Bari ; Bari U. ; Bari Polytechnic) ; Panzarini, G (INFN, Bari ; Bari U. ; Bari Polytechnic) et al.
The ALICE Collaboration is proposing a completely new apparatus, ALICE 3, for the LHC Run 5 and beyond. A key subsystem for charged particle identification will be a Ring-Imaging Cherenkov (RICH) detector consisting of an aerogel radiator and a photosensitive surface based on Silicon Photomultiplier (SiPM) arrays in a proximity-focusing configuration.
